AIDN YOUNG ACHIEVER AWARD (YAA)
The AIDN Young Achiever Award is a national competition recognising outstanding leaders under the age of 30 who work in Defence Industry.
These talented individuals support, or work directly with, the Australian Defence Force and are making an impact in their business and to Defence. They are the key to the future of the Australian defence support industry and future leaders in their field in their own right.
Since 2008, the AIDN YAA has showcased the leadership, technical ability, and achievements of these talented individuals from around the country and highlights the importance of their contribution to Defence Industry.
THE AWARD PROCESS
The YAA is a national competition for individuals under the age of 30 working in the Defence Industry sector. The program will determine the national winner through a formal process:
WHY ENTER THE AWARD?
The YAA recognises a young person from within AIDN Member businesses working with, or supporting, Australian Defence Industry who is making an impact in their business and Defence.
The AIDN Young Achiever Award recognises the efforts, demonstrated achievements and future potential of these talented individuals to colleagues, clients and future employers.
CAN YOU ENTER THE AWARD?
The Award is open to all AIDN members working in the defence support industry aged under 30 years, as of 1st of January in the year of competition.
Applicants need to provide the contact details of two references, one of which must be employed by a current financial member of an AIDN Chapter.
AWARD CRITERIA
YAA Judges will consider the following points when deciding the winner of the award:
HOW TO APPLY
AIDN will determine the nomination period and advise members.
Nominations will be accepted during this time period only.
Nominations can be submitted by Young Achievers themselves, their employers or other individuals that know the young achiever well.
To enter, nominees will complete an application form and submit it together with the appropriate supporting documentation.
Nominations submitted without the appropriate supporting documentation, submitted late or from non-AIDN members can be disqualified.
WHEN TO APPLY FOR 2023
Nominations for the 2023 Competition will be advised in early 2023.
