  • To provide networking opportunities between members, and between members and like minded companies, major primes to Defence, Defence and other federal and state government decision makers and buyers. Collectively, these people understand government and prime contractor needs, how small companies can meet them, and have access to people and information in the defence industry that may assist you to become more profitable;
  • To lobby Defence and federal and state governments to adopt SME friendly policy, practice and support. This includes providing input to and analysing feedback from the AIDN National representatives on all Defence industry committees and fora;
  • To provide a voice to other firms and industry;
  • To be a resource on how to do business, including access to the AIDN-NSW secretariat, the AIDN National website at www.aidn.org.au and the secure AIDN Members Extranet Service;
  • To provide benefits for members on a number of goods and services, including access for employees to the Defence Health Benefits Scheme and Defcom and free trial subscriptions to and listings in defence publications and directories;
  • To provide a monthly emailed newsletter with information about current opportunities, upcoming activities and member success stories; and
  • To include your company details on the AIDN National website.
