Vision
The Australian Industry & Defence Network - NSW Incorporated (AIDN NSW) is an industry association which aims to maximise Defence-related business for NSW SMEs.
Background
AIDN NSW was set up in 1994 to facilitate communications and business opportunities with Defence for small to medium enterprises (SMEs) that operate in New South Wales. It has since been joined by chapters in all states and territories and an overarching National body. It was recognised by the Federal Government, in their Defence and Industry Strategic Policy Statement 1998, as the premier organisation representing SMEs doing business with Defence.
AIDN Today
AIDN NSW has an active executive committee and secretariat committed to helping the membership increase their knowledge of business opportunities in the defence industry. They recognise that networking is important for SMEs and provides sales opportunities through teaming, industry intelligence and the development of business relationships.
Management and Key Personnel
The executive officer of AIDN NSW is John Small who for 31 years worked in the defence sector of government. He reports to the executive committee. This consists of:
